XM and SIRIUS Satellite Radio for Subaru

Activate Your Free Trial Satellite Radio Service

All new or leased 2011 Subaru vehicles equipped with SIRIUS^® or XM^® satellite radio are eligible for a three-month complimentary subscription to SIRIUS^® or XM^® satellite radio service. Read below for the appropriate SIRIUS^® or XM^® instructions to activate your vehicle's satellite radio.

XM^® Satellite Radio

Phone Activation Process:
1) Contact XM at 1-800-XM-RADIO (967-2346), provide promotion code SUBARUS06 and your Radio ID number. The Radio ID can be retrieved by turning on the radio, pushing the "SAT" button and tuning to channel 0 - the eight-digit Radio ID should be displayed (on some radios you might have to push the "TEXT" button to display the Radio ID).

2) In addition to providing the XM Listener Care Agent with the Radio ID, your contact information is required for activation, including name, address, phone number and email address

3) Please have your radio on, tuned to the XM Preview Channel (Channel 1) and confirm you hear audio. While the vehicle is parked outside, with an unobstructed view of the sky, the XM Listener Care agent will activate the radio. Activation will generally occur within 30 seconds to three minutes once the XM Listener Care agent initiates the activation process. If your radio in not activated within 15 minutes of your call, please visit www.refresh.xmradio.com to have another signal sent to activate the service.

SIRIUS^® Satellite Radio

Phone Activation Process:
1) Contact SIRIUS at 1-888-539-SIRIUS (7474) and provide your radio's Electronic Serial Number (ESN). The ESN can be retrieved by turning on the radio, pushing the "SAT" button and tuning to channel 0 - the twelve-digit ESN should be displayed (on some radios you might have to push the "TEXT" button to display the ESN).

2) Select a subscription plan, payment method, and then provide your contact information (name, address, phone number, email address) to the SIRIUS Customer Care Agent.

3) Please have your radio on, tuned to the SIRIUS Preview Channel (Channel 184) and confirm you hear audio. While the vehicle is parked outside, with an unobstructed view of the sky, the SIRIUS Listener Care Agent will activate the radio. Activation will generally occur within 30 seconds to three minutes once the SIRIUS Listener Care Agent receives the required information and initiates the activation process.
