All Wi-Fi enabled devices will work with Autonet Mobile. Macs, laptops, PSPs, PDAs, iPhone, iPod Touch, PDAs, etc.

Is Subaru Mobile Internet easy to use?
It's very easy to use. No software or setup required. It works like any other WiFi hotspot. Just connect, launch your browser and surf.

Does Subaru Mobile Internet provide a secure connection?
Yes. The WiFi connection is secured with WEP encryption, MAC address restriction or WAN port restriction. Supports WPA/WPA2 encryption. Also supports VPN pass-through. Public hotspots do not offer security.

What kind of speeds can I expect?
Over the 3G network, download speeds average from 400kbps-800kbps. Upload ranges from 128kbps-300kbps. When not on 3G the average download is 120kbps-200kbps and 50kbps-100kbps for upload.

What is the range of the Subaru Mobile Internet router?
You can access the router for up to 150ft around the vehicle.

Can I monitor how much data I use?
My Autonet Mobile allows you to take a closer look at your router's usage and to test threshold limits to notify you when you're close to reaching the usage you set.

Can I move the Subaru Mobile Internet router to another 2010 or 2011 Outback?
Yes. The other 2010 or 2011 Outback would also need a router mounting base which must be purchased separately.

Will Subaru Mobile Internet work with my existing cell phone carrier?
Autonet Mobile is the Internet Service Provider and does not work with your existing carrier. You will need to subscribe to their service in order to take advantage of having a Wi-Fi hotspot in your car.

What happens if I exceed my data plan?
If you exceed your monthly data plan of 1GB or 5GB, your connection speed will decrease until the new month starts. The throttling is progressive. The more you exceed your limit the slower your connection.

Is a month to month plan offered?
A month to month plan is not available. A one year contract is required.

Can I suspend my service and start again at a later time?
You cannot suspend or cancel your contract without penalties. If you cancel your subscription during your contract period, you will be responsible for 50% of the remaining balance.
